Hair Removal
Therapy:
Q: What
body areas can I get treated?
A: Any area, except around the eyes. The
underarms, legs, back, bikini line, face, neck, etc.,
can all be treated...fast!
Q:
What are the treatment sessions like?
A: Quick and easy! After your initial preparation,
your treatment will consist of a wand-like hand piece moved
over your skin. The hand piece emits a light that disables
the hair follicles. Most people perceive the light
as a gentle "snapping" sensation. Once this
is completed the treatment provider will wipe away any loose
hair from your skin, and you're ready to go.
Q: What should most
people expect after treatment?
A: Most people experience some mild redness and tenderness
in the treated area shortly after treatment. This
does not interfere with normal activities and usually
subsides within a day. In some cases, the redness
may last longer, but will still be mild and temporary. Your
treatment provider will explain other, less likely side
effects to you.
Q: What is the difference between laser
and pulsed-light treatments?
A: Pulsed-light systems and lasers are very similar and
remove hair in basically the same way. However, the
Palomar Medilux uses a new technology that removes hair
up to ten times faster than lasers. Medilux pulsed-light
treatments can fit even the busiest person's schedule.

What is a PhotoFacial treatment session like?
Quick and easy! After your initial preparation, your treatment
provider will move the pulsed light handpiece over your
skin. The handpiece emits a light that breaks up the pigment
in the lesions. Most people perceive the light as a gentle "snapping" sensation,
which causes little to no discomfort.
What should I expect after treatment?
Pigmented lesions will darken slightly after treatment,
and then fade away after about 10-14 days.
Vessels (visible
veins) generally undergo immediate graying or blanching
and the surrounding area may redden. The vessels then
fade after about 10-14 days.
Most people experience some
mild temporary redness, similar to a sunburn, in the treated
area shortly after treatment. This does not interfere with
normal activities and usually subsides within a day.
What is the difference between PhotoFacial and laser treatments?
